Top EMF Detox Strategies Backed by Science

Fortunately, you don’t need to live off the grid to benefit from an EMF detox. Small, intentional changes can give your body "energy recovery periods," as I explain more in Ruan's EMF Detox program and EMF Detox Workbook. Modifying your habits can dramatically reduce your lifetime EMF exposure.

1. Keep Devices Away from Your Body

Avoid carrying phones in your pocket or laptop on your lap. Keep devices off your body, especially near reproductive organs.

2. Use Airplane Mode Whenever Possible

Switch your phone or tablet to Airplane Mode when not in use, especially during sleep or when it's stored close to you.

3. Create a Tech-Free Sleep Sanctuary

Your bedroom should be a healing space. Remove wireless devices or place them on Airplane Mode. Keep phones and routers out of the room if possible.

4. Replace Wi-Fi with Wired Internet

Use Ethernet cables for internet access at home, particularly in high-use areas like your office and children's bedrooms.

5. Turn Off Wi-Fi at Night

Give your body a break while you sleep. Use a timer or manually switch off your Wi-Fi router each night.
