Brushing Baby Teeth and Gums
Dec 31, 2016- Begin these habits early. Even before the teeth have erupted, you can begin to accustom your baby to the brushing routine by massaging her gums with your finger, a wet washcloth, or gauze. Alternatively, you can use a soft rubber tip that fits on the end of an adult finger. These can help with the discomfort associated with teething and stimulates blood flow in the gums. Once teeth have erupted, continue massaging the gums as well as gentle cleaning of the teeth, by adding an infant size soft bristel brush. Brushing in this early form is more important after your baby has begun to take solids. Drinking water after meals is also helpful. (Natural Baby and Childcare, p70)
- Floss your child's teeth daily. (Natural Baby and Childcare, p71)
